Senior Tax Programming Specialist

We are looking for a hardworking, forward- thinking individual to deliver reporting and analytic tools that make our customers' tax departments best-in-class. This individual will combine problem solving skills with data analytics experience to deliver tools that help customers manage risk and make better business decisions. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join CSC Corptax in one of our offices located in: Buffalo Grove, IL; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; or telecommute from a remote location. Some of the things you will be doing:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define layout and data specifications for reports and / or analytic models.
• Understand where and how data is stored to effectively build reports and/ or analytic models.
• Test deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Provide support through both direct and indirect communication channels.
• Develop and update documentation.
• Eventually lead team projects.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Computer Science. A master's degree or relevant tax experience is valued.
• A minimum of five years of experience in accounting, tax, or data analytics.
• Experience with Corptax or similar tax software.
• Proficiency in building reports using XML and/or MART is highly desirable.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Prior client-facing experience is beneficial.
• Proven project management skills, either through academic education or professional experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office solutions, particularly Power Query.
• Familiarity with third-party analysis tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Alteryx.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced multitasking environment with limited supervision.
