BeOne is seeking a technically strong and solution-oriented Tax Manager, EMENA (Shared Services & Process Projects), based in Poland.
The Tax Manager will play a key role in BeOne’s growing centralized tax operations by focusing on the design and execution of tax compliance and reporting processes within the Global Business Solutions (GBS) model. This project-oriented, emphasizes process efficiency, standardization, and systems integration, particularly for corporate income tax (CIT). The position may also support VAT and withholding tax processes, when needed, but the main responsibility is ensuring efficient and compliant CIT process delivery.
The Tax Manager will partner with IT, Finance, and other business teams to support the day-to-day direct tax compliance function and its transformation toward automation. As BeOne expands into new markets and strengthens its systems environment, this role will contribute to the design and implementation of tax processes and technologies beyond SAP, including OECD Pillar 2 readiness.
This position reports to the Global Senior Tax Director, based in Switzerland.
This role has a hybrid work pattern, 3 days per week from our Warsaw office with 2 day remote.
Responsibilities
- Corporate Income Tax Compliance & Advisory
- Manage corporate income tax compliance across assigned jurisdictions (with the focus on EMENA), coordinating with local advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Lead data preparation, validation, and reconciliation for income tax returns and payments.
- Review and assess the completeness of supporting documentation and reconciliations.
- Provide proactive advisory input on local and cross-border direct tax matters.
- Support readiness and implementation of OECD Pillar 2 calculations and reporting.
- Process Design & Standardization Projects
- Support testing and deployment of new tax technology tools and ensure user adoption.
- Participate in system configuration activities (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, workflow tools) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Document detailed end-to-end workflows for data collection, tax computation, and sign-off.
- Lead tax-related process improvement and standardization projects within the GBS, ensuring alignment with group requirements.
- Tax Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare tax accounting data packages for quarterly and annual reporting cycles under US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Coordinate with Finance and IT teams to ensure integrity of data flows into tax reports and automation tools.
- Assist with Pillar 2 data preparation and mapping as part of readiness projects.
- Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with indirect tax specialists (without direct VAT ownership) to ensure full visibility across all tax channels and shared data requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Treasury, FP&A, HR, and IT to assess the tax implications of transactions, new market entry, and operational changes.
- Liaise with external advisors, ensuring quality and consistency of compliance outputs.
- Partner with global and regional teams to ensure standardization and knowledge sharing.
Required Experience
- 5+ years’ direct tax compliance & advisory experience, gained either in-house or in big 4 firm.
- Accounting, law or tax degree preferred.
- Proficiency with SAP and advanced Excel skills – including data analysis, reconciliations, and modeling for tax purposes.
- Experience in a complex, international environment with cross border direct tax exposure and tax provisioning under US GAAP and operational aspects of transfer pricing.
- Experience working in shared service center models and managing cross-border service provider relationships.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, results-oriented, decision maker & self-motivated individual.
- Languages: English required. Other European languages - a plus.
Preferred experience:
- Advanced qualification (e.g., CPA, CTA, Polish Tax Advisor).
- Familiarity with Power BI or other tax tech and analytics tools.
