X Corp. is currently seeking a Tax Analyst. This position will play a key role in X Corp. in-house tax compliance. You will provide general assistance for all corporate tax functions, including indirect taxes such as sales and use tax, global VAT/GST, personal property tax, corporate federal, state, and franchise filings, and tax audits and notices. The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management, and must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Excel is required. CPA is preferred. This position will be a member of the Finance team on-site in San Jose, CA.
What You'll Do:

Assist with tax compliance and reporting for global corporate and indirect taxes.

Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.

Oversee certain tax return filings and submitting payment for taxes as needed.

Coordinate with global tax advisors for corporate income tax compliance, tax provision, and global indirect tax compliance.

Assist with tax questions from business teams as needed.

Assist with tax audits, including preparation of responses to document requests, preparation of appeals and other correspondence.

Maintain the global tax compliance calendar.

Assist in preparing and maintaining forecasts for global taxes.

Book journal entries and review reconciliations for indirect taxes.

Conduct tax research on specific issues as needed.

Working on special projects as assigned.
