Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt
Pay Range: $130,000-$195,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About this role: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team and support the development of system architectures, concept of operations, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, and verification of antenna systems throughout the program lifecycle. You will help establish and reinforce Tendeg’s system engineering principles and processes while providing mentorship within the systems engineering team and across functions.
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer that will support the following programs:

2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.

Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security
What you'll do:
-
Provide systems engineering leadership and mentorship to other engineers
-
Provide systems engineering support to technical teams for the development, verification, delivery, and operations of Tendeg deployable antenna products and subsystems.

Utilize System Engineering principles for development of system architectures, concept of operations, and architecture-to-requirements traceability.

Support the proper allocation, traceability, and verification of requirements at all levels throughout the program’s lifecycle.

Coordinate with multiple subject matter experts to develop the required requirements allocation, analysis, and verification artifacts.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the design baseline within the system architecture model.

Lead teams in preparations and delivery for major gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PSR).

Prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar field.

10+ years of experience in system engineering.
-
Demonstrated ability to review effective and verifiable requirements – detail oriented.
-
Experience with the traditional systems engineering lifecycle, phases, processes, inputs/outputs and artifacts.
-
Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, comfortable seeking answers without prompting.
-
Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal communication.
-
Knowledge/experience developing and verifying system-level performance budgets.
-
Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to senior decision making and technical audiences.
Preferred Requirements:
-
Experience with the design, development, and testing of spacecraft hardware. Specific experience with spacecraft deployables and antenna system is a plus.

Customer Relationships: basic knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas.

Ability to prioritize the efficient execution of systems engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timely delivery of milestones.

Experience defining processes for teams to follow.

Experience leading teams through major gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PSR)

Demonstrated experience in team leadership.
