The Role

The incumbent will assist the Systems Engineers & Senior Systems Engineers with ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all Aristocrat Information Systems that support core business functions. We are seeking an Engineer with a strong emphasis on architecture to join our dynamic IT support team. This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture principles, combined with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading architecture initiatives, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of IT systems.

Role Accountabilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and robust IT architectures that align with business objectives.
  • Evaluate existing systems and propose enhancements or new architectures to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Provides advanced technical support and administration of the core infrastructure systems including but not limited to: Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems; Active Directory, Azure AD Linux (Red Hat, OpenSuse, Ubuntu), Office365, Intune, OKTA, Mimecast and VMWare/Windows virtualization technologies.
  • Able to manage VMware and Nutanix environment like creating virtual machines, performing Nutanix/Vmware upgrade and keeping 100% uptime.
  • Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions using OKTA, Office 365, and Azure AD.
  • Integrate identity services across cloud platforms to ensure seamless and secure access for users.
  • Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access requests through IAM platforms.
  • Configure and manage SSO and MFA capabilities across OKTA, Office 365, and Azure AD
  • Implement automation for user onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Works closely with the IT Operations Manager, Senior Systems Engineers and Regional Service Delivery Manager to ensure exceptional customer service for all support needs.  Resolves issues in a timely manner and enters resolution into the Service Centre tracking system as needed.
  • Administration of the Intune environment to ensure that; collections are maintained, applications are packaged and ready for deployment; all Aristocrat equipment has an agent installed; Patches are up-to-date.
  • Develops documents and prepares drawings, procedures, processes and other related documentation for all labs, classrooms, or other aspects of work performed or environments created.
  • Should be able to monitor and manage linux environment like expanding the disk space, making sure all the services are working fine and creating new virtual machines.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent IT tertiary qualification.
  • Requires five to seven years of Information Technology/Network/System Administration experience or its equivalent.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments preferred
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) required with 3+ years of equivalent Systems Engineer experience.
  • Experience with Linux (Red Hat, OpenSuse, Ubuntu) a plus.
  • IT Security Certification such as Security+ and/or CISSP, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems required. 
  • Basic knowledge of switches, routers and firewalls required. 
  • Experience supporting a Training and/or R&D environment preferred.
