SUMMARY OF POSITION
Agio provides customers with superior managed IT and cyber services. As we continue to expand out our client base, we are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer. This is a critical role in helping Agio to continuously improve the availability, performance and security of our client’s systems and applications through effective maintenance plans, standardized configurations and comprehensive data protection checks.
KEY DUTIES
- Development and configuration of maintenance plans for client MS Azure and Windows environments.
- Backup and data protection validation and remediation.
- DR coordination, testing and remediation.
- Access control checks including Azure and on-premise Active Directory.
- Ensuring that systems are being effectively monitored for capacity and availability.
- OS patching and upgrades.
- Collaborate with all Agio teams to ensure consistent experiences for the clients around the world.
- Development of standard operating procedures and knowledge articles.
- Contributing to the roadmap for cloud platforms and keeping up to date with industry developments.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Have in depth experience of IT technologies, cloud, network and user device technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Windows, O365, VMware, Citrix.
- Have working experience with patching solutions, Microsoft or third party such as Ivanti or an equivalent RMM tool.
- Have working experience of data protection and backup solutions such as Microsoft Azure, VEEAM Rubric, Zerto.
- Have worked in a proactive maintenance capacity, as part of an event management, monitoring or engineering team.
- Have superb oral and written communication skills with an outgoing and friendly personality.
- Be passionate about delivering best-in-class managed services.
- Be ambitious, determined, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment both as a team and individually.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in information technology or related field
- One or more of following security certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- VMware Certified Professional
- Data protection certification
