Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Pittsfield, MA.
Like learning about new systems and leading-edge weapon systems capabilities? Come learn and explore new technologies, new software, new hardware, and development tools in support of the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile Program. Along the way, advise the Government by researching new concepts and technologies and developing new Fleet capabilities. Help design, review and contribute to the Navy's new system. This candidate will participate primarily in support of the SSP Shipboard Engineer, providing engineering support across development activities across the Strategic Weapons System.
Senior Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:

Leading engineering teams in the development and sustainment of the Strategic Weapons System.

Collaborating with teams across SSP work performers is expected of the candidate in support of the Shipboard Engineer.

Demonstrating the ability to perform analysis and problem-solving techniques necessary to execute professional scientific/engineering work.

Working independently and with others within established teams, across organizations, to meet established goals within schedule driven timelines.

Developing and presenting technical briefs.

Initiative and willingness to work hard.

Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

Performing all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualification:
-
Bachelors of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or ten (10) years of a demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise.

Ten (10) years professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major strategic, platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), and/or fire control systems program, with five years’ concurrent experience as a team leader performing system engineering and mission engineering efforts that include developing requirements and top level designs and/or system architectures for software intensive systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems engineering issues involving platform, weapon, combat, C2, and fire control systems for Navy/Joint warfighting capabilities.

Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) or other SLBM organizations

Experience working with managing developments for major weapons system.
