Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Taking OPNAV Resource Sponsor requirements and breaking them down into systems requirements
- Supporting acquisition processes to help mission planning S/W and collaborate with S/W developers
- Performing programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
- guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems;
- employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems;
- when appropriate, conducting research in applied systems engineering to advance the field
Required Skills & Experience
- Clearance Required: Top Secret
- US Citizenship is required for work on DoD contract
- Master’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline from an accredited institution, or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline and an additional four (4) years of recent, relevant experience
- A minimum of ten (10) years of recent and relevant engineering experience
- At least three (3) years directly related to Department of Defense (DoD) systems
- Hands on experience with strike planning, aircraft mission kill chains (find, fix, track, target, engage, and assess [F2T2EA])
- Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Tomahawk mission planning experience (on the S/W side) and aircraft operations mission planning experience is highly desired
- S/W Architecture experience is highly desired
