Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Translating OPNAV Resource Sponsor requirements into detailed system requirements
- Supporting mission planning software development by applying knowledge of DoD acquisition processes
- Leading or contributing to technical and programmatic engineering efforts
- Applying systems engineering methodologies to guide the development of complex, modern systems
- Supporting Program Protection Plans, Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments, and Anti-Tamper strategies, particularly for NextGen Mission Planning systems
- Preparing systems security documentation to support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and technology transfer to Allies and Partner Nations
- Anticipating and addressing security and protection requirements ahead of projected FMS needs
- Collaborating with software developers and other stakeholders to ensure technical integrity and mission alignment
Required Skills & Experience
- Clearance Required: Top Secret
- US Citizenship is required for work on DoD contract
- Master’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline from an accredited institution, or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline and an additional four (4) years of recent, relevant experience.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of recent and relevant engineering experience, including at least three (3) years directly related to Department of Defense (DoD) systems
- Demonstrated experience in a specific engineering domain relevant to mission systems or software engineering
- Strong background in software architecture and development
- Hands-on knowledge of strike planning and aircraft mission kill chains (F2T2EA: Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Assess)
- Familiarity with systems security engineering, including anti-tamper and protection of critical technologies.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Tomahawk mission planning and aircraft operations mission planning is highly desired
