As a Senior Systems Administration Engineer, will be responsible for: 

  • Managing the day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for the Citrix Cloud environment on a 24x5 basis.
  • Providing Level 3 support for incidents, investigations, running forensics tools and event documentation/reporting.
  • Participating in the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of the cloud and systems infrastructure.
  • Managing project tasks, working independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles.
  • Keeping up to date on current technology trends and makes recommendations to improve service operations.
  • Participating in the infrastructure architectural governance model.
  • Researching and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
  • Assists in maintaining remote access configurations for legacy services remote access and zero-trust environments.
  • Troubleshooting user experience and platform availability issues, levering the use of industry-standard tools and monitoring.
  • Supporting infrastructure as Code and GitHub configuration and implementation.
  • Performing other duties and/or projects as assigne

  • Have Microsoft Certified: Azure fundamentals certification
  • Have minimum 8 Years of experience: with Large Enterprise Citrix Environment, NetScaler, Citrix
  • Have skilled level expertise in design of computing, network, or storage to meet business application system qualities.
  • Have to understand technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
  • Have to understand concepts of setting and driving architecture direction.
  • have an experience in Virtual Workstation Environment Administrator
  • Citrix / Windows / VMware administrator provides tier II CVAD (VDI) environment support including configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in both Citrix PVS and Windows Server environments both On-prem and Azure/AWS Cloud
  • Workstation Virtualization Environment Administrator Duties & Responsibilities
    • All aspects of Workspace Virtualization Environment (Citrix) design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades, and maintenance of all production Citrix systems
    • Supports applications, hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure
    • Make architectural and operational recommendations applying updates to the Citrix environments
    • Maintenance/monitoring/upgrading/troubleshooting
    • Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of the servers in Citrix Administration on Citrix PVS for server maintenance (an ongoing task), upgrades (an ongoing task), and image maintenance/updates/upgrades
    • Configuration, deployment, proactive monitoring, and maintenance of Citrix / Virtualization-related tasks
    • Following vendor and Baker Hughes best practices for hardware and software configuration Drawing upon concepts of tools, technologies, and methodologies to collaborate with other technical specialists when carrying out assigned duties
    • Good technical knowledge depth on MS Operating System Workspace Environment Administrator Qualifications for job applicants may include certification, education and experience.
  • Licensing or Certifications for Workstation Virtualization Environment Administrator
  • List any licenses or certifications required by the position: VCP, CE, ITIL, CCA, IAT, MCSE, II, PKI, CCAA, MCDST
  • Desired experience for WVE Administrator includes:
    • Providing 3rd-level support to end users for issues on various OS platforms and the creation and communication of WE (Citrix/Windows/Vmware) support documentation for 1st and 2nd level support teams
    • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers and switches
    • Must have PowerShell Administration Skills – Windows and Vmware
    • Certification in CVAD or equivalent work experience relative to supporting CVAD platforms running version 7.x or later
    • Experienced with deployment of servers utilizing PVS and/or MCS in a virtual environment
    • Working knowledge of Citrix Director and ADM monitoring platforms
    • Experienced with Citrix ADC (formerly Netscaler) 12.x or 13.x
