Aeolus Robotics is seeking a highly motivated Senior System Integration Engineer to drive Robotics design & integration.

We are looking for a candidate with an MSc degree in ME/EE/CS who has experience in robotics. This position needs good knowledge and experience in robotics, system integration, software development, and system testing.

In this job, you will join a team that focuses on design, integration, and quality verification and work closely with the mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, and firmware engineer acting as a system integrator, but also responsible for verification program development, debugging support and production program development and troubleshooting to control the product quality. Therefore, this role needs to involve product development from the design stage to the production stage which needs a strong knowledge of robotic hardware and embedded system skill.

You will work in a Kanban-based agile development cycle and will be measured by the deliverables of the tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

● Being part of the design stage of the robot and review the design.

● Developing programs to drive robots for design validation.

● Designing the test processes that quantify the quality of the robot.

● Analyzing, summarizing, and presenting test results.

● Digging out the hardware-related design and system issues from the verification of the robot.

● Managing and tracking bugs found by you.

● Diagnosing system issues and figuring out the root cause with the designer.

● Proposing hardware design changes for improvements.

● Developing test programs for production lines to lower the defect rate.

● Technical transfer of the testing to factory, and support diagnose production issues.

● Analyzing the test results from the production line, and improve the test method & criteria to avoid misjudging and get a higher yield rate.

● Remote supporting FAE to diagnose the issues that happened on the customer side.

Requirements:

Qualifications

● >3 years of work experience in similar scope;

● Master degree in mechanical engineering or computer science, or electrical engineering;

● English skills equivalent to GEPT intermediate written, and GEPT intermediate speaking skills;

● Advanced-level Mandarin language proficiency.

Mandatory Requirements

● Good skills in Python or C++, solid experience in programming;

● Linux familiarity;

● With knowledge on robotic design, and system structure of robots;

● With knowledge on motor control & popular sensors of robots;

● Experience in data analytics, and statistical analysis;

● Experience in root cause analysis;

● Ability to manage time effectively to achieve defined goals under a set of deadlines;

● Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally;

● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across engineering groups;

● Good communication skills in writing and presenting.

Bonus Skills

● Experience in joining a real project from zero to production;

● Experience in hardware reliability testing such as electrical stress, ESD, thermal stress, and vibration/shock testing;

● Experience in firmware development;

● Experience in electrical design;

● Experience in mechanical design;

● General robotic problem-solving experience;

● Robotics experience:

○ Robot kinematics experience;

○ ROS (academic experience is acceptable).
