Senior System Engineer (Senior DevOps & SRE)

Job Responsibilities :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, automating, securing, and operating our multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
You will work closely with backend, data, and security teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD (Jenkins, ArgoCD), security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy), and system configuration using Ansible.Key Responsibilities1. Infrastructure & Cloud Management

• Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (modules, workspaces, pipelines, versioning, drift detection).
• Operate and optimize compute, networking, storage, IAM policies, and VPC architectures.

2. CI/CD Engineering

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and ArgoCD.
• Automate build, test, deployment workflows for microservices, backend systems, data pipelines, and internal tools.
• Ensure pipelines integrate with security and quality checks (SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy).

3. Reliability, Monitoring & Operations

• Implement robust observability stacks using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, CloudWatch, AliCloud Monitor, etc.
• Develop SLOs/SLIs, alerting rules, dashboards, and incident response processes.
• Lead root-cause analysis, performance optimizations, and reliability improvements.

4. Configuration Management & Automation

• Use Ansible to automate setup, provisioning, patching, and configuration of services on EC2.
• Maintain automation playbooks for internal tools, backend services, and critical system components.

5. Security & Compliance

• Integrate SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy scanning into CI/CD workflows.
• Ensure container, infrastructure, and pipeline security alignment with best practices.
• Work with the security team on vulnerability management and remediation.

6. Collaboration

• Partner with engineering leads to design scalable architectures.
• Mentor junior DevOps/SRE engineers and enforce best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in DevOps maturity, automation, and reliability.

QualificationsMust Have

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Alibaba Cloud.
• Proficiency with Terraform (IaC best practices, modules, CI integration).
• Experience with Jenkins and ArgoCD for CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of Docker, container registries, and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Experience using SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy in CI/CD.
• Strong proficiency with Ansible to manage and configure EC2 or Linux-based systems.
• Comfort with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go is a plus).
• Strong Linux administration experience.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, ELK, or CloudWatch.
• Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Nice to Have

• Experience with KEDA, EKS, ACK, or multi-region K8s operations.
• Knowledge of service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
• Experience operating high-throughput distributed systems.
• Background in incident response and high-availability design.
