The Senior Sustainability Reporting Lead is responsible for owning and directing Vanguard’s global sustainability reporting strategy. This role oversees the design, governance, and enterprise-wide implementation of sustainability reporting frameworks and ensures consistent, accurate, and compliant reporting across all entities. The position requires a strong command of sustainability regulatory developments, significant judgment, and leadership in coordinating efforts across multiple business areas.
Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise sustainability reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and Vanguard objectives.
Establish and maintain sustainability reporting governance, policies, and quality control protocols
across the organization.
Interpret new and emerging sustainability disclosure requirements and oversee enterprise-wide
implementation.
Lead cross-functional working groups to drive consistent reporting processes across business
lines and legal entities.
Present key findings and recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees.
Oversee preparation of global sustainability reporting, including regulatory filings and voluntary
disclosures.
Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes, systems, and controls.
Informally supervise and review work prepared by the Sustainability Reporting Lead
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MS/MBA strongly preferred.
7–10+ years of relevant sustainability, financial, or regulatory reporting experience.
Experience leading complex enterprise-level reporting initiatives.
Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks (ISSB, TCFD, etc.).
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management/leadership skills.
Experience collaborating with executives and senior stakeholders.
Experience with reporting or analytics platforms.
