Position Description

Sensei Ag, is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel at consuming and interpreting large sets of data, developing complex financial and economic models, and deriving actionable insights and recommendations for both supply chain optimization and broader corporate strategy, including capital investment assessments. This role requires strong financial acumen, deep data expertise, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Interpretation: 

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize large volumes of data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and key themes. 
  • Develop and maintain financial and economic models to support strategic decision-making processes across supply chain and corporate strategy. 
  • Leverage interviews/external parties and data to synthesize perspectives that inform business decisions.  

Model Development and Optimization: 

  • Create and refine models to forecast supply chain performance, evaluate capital investment opportunities, and improve overall business efficiency. 
  • Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of various factors on supply chain outcomes and strategic initiatives. 

 Insights and Recommendations: 

  • Translate complex data sets into clear and actionable insights. 
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, capital investment decisions, and drive business growth.  

Capital Investment Assessment: 

  • Evaluate potential capital investments and their impact on the company’s financial and operational performance. 
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and financial models to support investment decisions. 
  • Support capital investment cycle by ensuring projects (and their prioritization) are aligned with strategic objectives and alternatives have been adequately explored. 

Collaboration and Communication: 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and strategy, to align supply chain and corporate activities with business objectives. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. 
  • Provide recommendations to senior and executive leadership that drive business decisions.  

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management, corporate strategy, and data analytics. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data analysis capabilities and overall business performance. 

Minimum years of experience required

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.

Required Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • ERP System knowledge: Oracle NetSuite preferred. 
  • Financial acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles, including cost accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting, and capital investment assessment. 
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, develop models, and derive meaningful insights. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey and present complex information to non-technical audiences. 
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. 

Preferred Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience with Food or Beverage company. 
  • Knowledge of greenhouse operations. 
  • Background in business partnering with a strong desire to add value to the business, as well as a mindset for continuous improvement. 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Commerce or a highly analytical field.  

Travel Requirement

  • Up to 25%
