Department OverviewDepartment Overview This role will be in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, supporting the global Supply Chain and Cost Accounting operations. The FP&A team is responsible for analyzing financial reports, trends, risks, and opportunities. We gather, interpret, and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and inventory forecasting. Job Description
As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Supply Chain Organization, you will fill a critical role in our inventory, cost accounting, and compliance team, providing support to global business operations, distribution centers, and manufacturing units (including Elgin Mfg, Sanmina Reynosa, and Kenosha).
The ideal candidate is a technology and system-savvy, self-starter, detail-oriented, highly analytical, hardworking individual who can multitask, work independently, and successfully communicate with internal departments, management, and customers daily. Most importantly, we are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, comfortable navigating complex datasets using tools like Alteryx and Tableau, and excited about a role in a rapidly growing environment. No task is too large or too small.
Responsibilities:
Journal Entries & Month-End Close: Prepare and upload journal entries (JVs) in Oracle for COGS, returns (RMAs), Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory, and scrap reclassifications across various manufacturing and DC sites.
SOX Compliance & Cut-Off Audits: Perform quarterly SOX cut-off audits for Receiving and Shipping (e.g., DE2, Penang DC, Elgin). Gather SOX audit samples, verify test evidence (invoices, loading sheets, ship confirmations), and ensure proper posting per the accounting calendar.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations using the ARCS platform for multiple clearing and inventory accounts.
Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Inventory Management: Maintain accounting for Inventory Reserve Accounts (IRA) and supplier liabilities. Analyze working files, record quarterly E&O reserve adjustments, and prepare Reserve Pareto charts and E&O Supply Chain Review presentations for management.
RMA & Customer Returns: Manage manual COGS and revenue reversals for US and LATAM customer returns, collaborating with the Order Validation and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams to process customer credit notes.
Inventory Reporting: Coordinate Global Field Inventory accounts reconciliation and consolidate monthly "Inventory by Technology" and "One-Level Down" reports for upload into Hyperion Smart View.
Process Improvement & Systems: Drive process automation to streamline JV preparation and data reconciliation. Perform the annual COGS System Schedule to coordinate system cut-off dates with the IT team.
Basic Requirements
Minimum 4 years of relatable finance experience
University degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field
Understanding of financial metrics, specifically: revenue, costs, and cash
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, capable of holding project-specific discussions with Business Partners
Excellent Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, able to interact with Finance and non-Finance staff at various levels
Experience with Oracle Financials and Tableau will be an asset
Experience navigating ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service) and Hyperion Smart View.
Ability to understand and quickly learn new accounting software and other systems
Good time and task management skills, ability to work under time pressure
Self-driven and highly motivated
