Senior Supply & Demand Manager is responsible for IBP planning, inventory management, production planning, transportation planning, support of product transfers from and to other sites. Additionally, the position is responsible for Supply Chain reporting activities, and supports or represents the Supply Chain in respective projects in addition to other projects within the business. Identify and implement opportunities within inventory and supply chain to optimize costs while delivering targeted on-time delivery KPI’s. Streamline existing or implement new processes for improved efficiency. Responsible to support all operations and ensure reliable planning and delivery of products via all modes of transport to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Regional Demand and Supply Planning in IBP and S&OP process and support and manage a SC team
- Responsible for inventory management for US produce and imported materials and monitors all aspects of inventory. Inventory levels, inventory age, turnover days on hand and stock levels.
- Supports global and regional planning as well as SCM/SAP projects to ensure an optimized planning process and make recommendations to improve productivity, cost, quality and efficiency of operations.
- Supports product introductions and transfers to and from the other sites as well as complexity reductions.
- Oversees inventory cycle counts for audit compliance.
- Manages the day-to-day business requests and requirements from different departments such as Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Production, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service.
- Monitors import, export, and domestic shipments for customer and inventory replenishment orders based on availability of stock.
- Manages warehouse inventory orders, damages, aging, recommends adjustments to min-max inventory levels or location.
- Ensures full end to end requirements to customers are fulfilled
Qualifications
- Masters degree or 5-7 years of mix of experience in supply chain within the chemical industry preferred.
- Key user expertise in IBP and SAP (including transactional knowledge within transportation, sourcing, inventory/material management) is essential.
- High understanding of international Logistics and Supply Chain Processes and regulatory functions.
- Must be a self-starter, project a positive attitude, and be able to effectively function as part of a team and in individual situations.
- Must possess high interpersonal effectiveness for a diverse and innovative environment.
- Leadership experience is required.
