Are you ready to help build our ambitious new strategy team? Then join us as we hire two new senior strategy team members to shape Hempel’s strategic direction, accelerate value creation, doing so in close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organization.

Are You Looking to Build a Career That Contributes to a Brighter Future?

At Hempel, we’re on a mission to double our impact — and to get there, we need bright minds and strong team players.

In May 2024, the Hempel Foundation — in agreement with the Hempel A/S Board of Directors — invited CVC Funds to become a minority investor in Hempel A/S. This partnership is designed to accelerate Hempel’s ambitious long-term growth strategy, both organically and through acquisitions.

This is your opportunity to join EVP Anne Ernst’s newly established Strategy & Execution team and help transform vision into measurable results. As part of this team, you won’t just implement strategy — you’ll help shape it. You’ll work closely with senior business leaders across the organization, influencing key decisions and embedding strategic priorities into Hempel’s DNA.

What will your responsibilities include?

In these two roles, you will:

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to senior business leaders, helping shape the direction of key initiatives and ensuring alignment with Hempel’s long-term ambitions.

  • Lead the end-to-end development and execution of strategic programs that drive the Value Creation Plan and future growth.

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that foster alignment, shared accountability, and support business units in achieving their targets.

  • Establish required governance and performance metrics to monitor progress, remove obstacles, and ensure timely delivery.

  • Communicate progress, impact, and insights through compelling updates to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Champion change management to embed strategic initiatives into Hempel’s operating rhythm and culture.

Have You Got What We’re Looking For?

These roles are a key investment in Hempel’s future leadership. We are looking for individuals with the potential to grow within the organization — strategic thinkers who can evolve into future leaders and help build a strong internal talent pipeline.

The two profiles share many similarities:

  • Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field

  • Proven track record of leading complex strategic initiatives, driving cross-functional execution, and delivering measurable business impact

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience navigating senior leadership and cross-cultural teams

  • Strong ability to structure problems, synthesize insights, and develop actionable recommendations Executive-level communication and storytelling skills

  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are beneficial

How they differ is primarily in the years of experience required for each role:

Sr. Strategy Manager:

  • Typically, 3–5 years in a strategy role in a Tier 1 consulting firm or in a corporate strategy function

  • Focused on leading individual strategic initiatives with high visibility and impact

Group Strategy Director:

  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in a strategy role in a Tier 1 consulting firm or in a corporate strategy or commercial function

  • Leads multiple strategic initiatives or enterprise-level programs with cross-functional complexity
