Job Overview
Provide management and supervision for the creative services design team(s), to produce communication that is compelling, consistent, and results-driven. Serve as the liaison between various stakeholders and the creative department, and ensure that creative deliverables meet the expected level of quality.

Essential Functions
• Manages staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations.  Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems.  Approves actions on human resources matters.
• Oversee and/or collaborate with Art Director/Senior Designer to develop and implement creative solutions.
• Act as creative lead on designated projects. Ensure consistency of page layout/design across all account materials.
• Maintain and update company style manual, ensuring house/client styles are adhered to as appropriate.
• Lead regular resourcing/priorities meetings, as part of ongoing management of workflow.  Provide direction, support and troubleshooting for team to ensure successful project delivery.
• Assist Head of Department in monitoring procedures/processes to ensure team operates at maximum efficiency.  Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures are adhered to within the department, and assist in development of new/revised SOPs as necessary.
• Liaise with account teams in project planning/forecasting/scheduling, in order to manage workloads/allocate accounts effectively.  Manage team workloads and creative resource allocation for existing business and new business activities, and provide forecasts on freelance/recruitment needs.
• Estimate creative hours for budgets, and ensure team delivers projects in accordance with budgeted hours and agreed deadlines.  Monitor progress of jobs and communicate variances to timelines/budgeted specifications to account teams, and ensure this process is followed across the team.
• Identify resources and provide direction/feedback to designers, resulting in products that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Work across the organization to understand business needs and look for innovative solutions to fulfill them.
• Assess and refine creative processes and team working practices to meet industry standards and client expectations,
• ensuring team adheres to regulatory and client-specific rules/ guidelines, and copyright laws/procedures.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Field related to art or graphic design Req
• 7 years of graphic design experience Req
• 2 years managing teams Req Or
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Req
• Cross-platform experience preferred (MAC/PC).
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite applications (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator), Acrobat, Quark, Suitcase Fusion.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet).
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Experience in line management/supervision of junior Designers. Ability to manage staff and delegate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in resource management.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills.
• Ability to drive successful collaboration between designers and all stakeholders.
• Ability to monitor team outputs, ensuring all design materials meet client marketing objectives.
• Excellent eye for detail.
• Ability to work to tight timelines, and collaborate with colleague to meet team deadlines. Ability to maintain demanding timelines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Commercial focus and financial awareness/ability to provide accurate hours estimates.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $75,600.00 - $189,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
