The Role
As a Senior Technical Program Manager focused on Gemini’s personalization efforts, you will define the strategic vision and orchestrate the execution of our most ambitious personal intelligence capabilities. You will act as a central leader, coordinating across vast cross-functional domains to drive cutting-edge model capabilities from research to global production.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Architect, scope, and lead complex technical programs for model development at an organizational level, defining best practices for delivering frontier research to production.
  • Organizational Alignment: Direct and align vast cross-functional organizations working on personal intelligence to advance the state-of-the-art research in this domain. Act as a trusted advisor to senior executive leadership.
  • Risk & Strategy Management: Proactively identify and resolve systemic risks, dependencies, and changing circumstances across multiple product surfaces, implementing scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Apply deep technical intuition to identify and execute pragmatic solutions, directly unblocking novel modeling techniques and resolving high-level technical architecture disputes.
  • Process Excellence: Define program management methodologies and governance models for the broader organization, driving operational excellence across multiple teams and product areas.
 

About You

 

In order to set you up for success as a Technical Program Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience leading organizational-level technical programs, with a strong track record of successful program delivery at massive scale.
  • Technical Foundation: Expert-level technical background, with deep AI knowledge and extensive experience in the development of foundational models and their integration into global products.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills, paired with meticulous organization and attention to detail. You excel at building trust, navigating complex organizational dynamics, and synthesizing highly complex technical strategies to act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
  • Leadership & Ownership: Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to take full ownership of sweeping organizational initiatives, drive cross-PA alignment, and overhaul governance models across vast engineering and research teams.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to navigate highly ambiguous, ever-evolving environments, demonstrating leadership and resourcefulness in resolving systemic challenges.
  • AI Passion & Practical Application: Passionate about AGI and deeply curious about emerging technologies. You are a hands-on practitioner who actively utilizes the latest AI tools, agents, and coding assistants to accelerate workflows and drive operational excellence.
 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between 240,000 USD - 334,000 USD + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
