About this role
As Scribe’s first Senior Staff Frontend Engineer, you will:
Lead Frontend Technical Direction: Define and drive frontend architecture and best practices across Scribe. You’ll be the go-to expert for creating robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications built with React, Next.js, and Tailwind.
Mentor and Inspire: Guide and mentor engineers, championing a culture of technical excellence and impact. Help shape the team’s growth through code reviews, technical workshops, and one-on-one mentorship.
Drive Impact: Own key initiatives that tie directly to company growth and user value. Advocate for the user to drive measurable improvements in the product, leveraging analytics and user feedback.
Co-Author Our Product: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to translate complex user needs into delightful and accessible user experiences. Your input will be instrumental in aligning product vision with technical strategy.

You have 12+ years of engineering experience
You have 8+ years of frontend experience
You have extensive experience with React
You have played a significant part in setting the standards for a growing engineering team

Experience with our frontend stack (TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind, React Query, React Testing Library, Playwright, shadcn)

Compensation
$200,000 - $285,000 base + equity + benefits
