The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Join as a Senior / Staff Software Engineer focused on AI Systems. You will own agents, orchestration, backend infrastructure, and evaluations supporting multi-step document and case workflows.
What you'll do
- Build agentic workflows with appropriate human review and intervention.
- Develop long-running task orchestration with dependencies, retries, and recovery.
- Create evaluations that measure quality and catch regressions.
- Improve backend services, event pipelines, and scheduled jobs.
- Make agent execution observable for debugging, performance, and cost control.
- Connect AI systems to internal tools and customer-facing interfaces.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of production software engineering experience.
- Deep backend expertise and experience building AI or ML-powered applications.
- Hands-on LLM work beyond a basic chat interface, including tools, context, and evaluation.
- Strong Python and TypeScript skills.
- Startup or early growth-stage experience and a bachelor's degree or higher.
- Ability to work with domain experts and own ambiguous projects through deployment and operation.
Bonus points
- Production agent operations or evaluation infrastructure experience.
- Complex document workflow experience.
- Asynchronous systems, queues, idempotency, and failure recovery experience.

- Base salary: USD 200,000 to 300,000 per year.
