Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Staffing Coordinator. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a diverse and talented team supporting mission-critical initiatives within the U.S. Space Force.
The Senior Staffing Coordinator will provide senior-level contractor support to Space Systems Command (SSC), System Delta 81 (SYD 81), and the Portfolio Acquisition Executive – Infrastructure (PAE-I) Program Office. The ideal candidate will provide strategic business analysis, portfolio integration, program management, and stakeholder engagement support to advance organizational priorities and mission objectives.
This role requires an experienced professional capable of working closely with senior military and civilian leadership, integrating complex program and enterprise requirements, managing high-level taskers and communications, and supporting strategic planning and execution across multiple programs and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Staffing Coordinator will:
- Serve as the Government customer’s principal advisor for portfolio strategy, enterprise alignment, and stakeholder engagement, providing senior-level guidance in support of mission and organizational objectives
- Integrate policy, strategic plans, program requirements, and technical considerations into cohesive, forward-looking recommendations for senior military and civilian leadership
- Oversee the Integration Team to ensure unity of effort across the organization, aligning near-term execution priorities with long-term enterprise transformation objectives
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives that advance concept development, experimentation, capability maturation, and enterprise integration
- Collaborate with Government, industry, and strategic mission partners to advance organizational priorities and strengthen cross-functional coordination
- Manage senior-level stakeholder engagements and executive communications, with an emphasis on building partnerships, accelerating innovation, and supporting congressional and external engagements
- Develop and shape strategic products, portfolio narratives, executive-level briefings, and communication plans that clearly articulate future capability pathways and integrate technical, operational, and strategic perspectives
- Develop and oversee multi-level stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure consistent, coordinated, and effective messaging across assigned programs and portfolios
- Support acquisition integration activities, program reporting, configuration management, and related organizational requirements
- Lead or support customer-directed surge activities, special projects, and emerging requirements to assist program teams and staff members as mission needs dictate
Skills and Experience
The Senior Staffing Coordinator must have:
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- 10+ years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience
- Demonstrated experience using Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) or similar DoD task-management platforms
- Strong knowledge of program management principles, processes, and best practices, with demonstrated experience applying them in real-world program or operational environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting strategic planning, portfolio management, program integration, or stakeholder engagement within a complex DoD environment
- Experience coordinating across multiple organizations, functional areas, programs, and senior-level stakeholders to achieve mission objectives
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic recommendations, executive-level briefings, communication products, and other senior-leader deliverables
- Experience supporting a Space Program Office, Major Command (MAJCOM), Field Command (FLDCOM), or comparable DoD organization is highly desired
Education and Certifications
The Senior Staffing Coordinator must meet the following:

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
