Position Summary
Delva Tool & Machine is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands manufacturing operations, and enjoys partnering with leadership to provide accurate financial information that drives business decisions.
What You'll Do
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Support multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across the accounting function
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement more efficient accounting workflows
- Partner with operations and leadership to ensure financial data accurately reflects manufacturing activity
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or job-costing environment
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close
- Experience working within a large ERP system
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- NetSuite ERP experience
- Experience supporting multi-entity organizations
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience
- Inventory accounting experience
- Experience supporting external audits
- CPA, CMA, or other professional accounting certification
- Your accounting experience is primarily limited to QuickBooks-based bookkeeping environments
- You have not worked within a manufacturing, production, distribution, or job-costing environment
- You prefer highly repetitive transactional accounting work with limited ownership

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
