Senior SSIS Developer

This is a remote position.

Experience: 7–9 Years Primary Skill: SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Role: Senior SSIS Developer / Technical Consultant

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages for enterprise ETL and data integration.
  

• Develop ETL solutions to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
  

• Support and enhance existing SSIS interfaces and integrations.
  

• Troubleshoot SSIS package failures, data issues, and production incidents.
  

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database objects.
  

• Integrate data from SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, CSV/Excel files, and SFTP locations.
  

• Implement error handling, logging, auditing, notifications, and restart/recovery mechanisms.
  

• Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs using SQL Server Agent.
  

• Perform SSIS package and SQL query performance tuning for high-volume data processing.
  

• Conduct impact analysis, effort estimation, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  

• Support deployments across development, UAT, and production environments.
  

• Provide L2/L3 production support, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  

• Collaborate with functional teams, application teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.
  

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.
  

• 7–9 years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in SSIS and SQL Server.
  

• Strong experience in ETL development, data integration, and data migration.
  

• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  

• Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, joins, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  

• Hands-on experience with SSIS components:
  

  • Data Flow Tasks and Control Flow Tasks
    

  • Lookup, Merge, and Conditional Split
    

  • Derived Column and Execute SQL Task
    

  • Script Task and File System Task
    

• Knowledge of SSIS configurations, parameters, variables, connection managers, and deployment models.
  

• Experience implementing logging, exception handling, audit controls, and failure/restart mechanisms.
  

• Experience with SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduling.
  

• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production support experience.
  

• SSIS integration with Oracle and heterogeneous data sources.
  

• SFTP and automated file-based integrations.
  

• Git, Azure DevOps, or other source-control and CI/CD tools.
  

• Exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  

• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
  

• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Good verbal and written communication.
  

• Ability to independently resolve complex technical and production issues.
  

• Effective coordination with technical, functional, business, and client teams.
  

• Strong ownership and accountability.
