YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Set up, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot container orchestration platforms, including Docker Swarm or Kubernetes clusters.
- Enhance the security of containerized infrastructure, including implementing PKI, managing ACME certificates, and enforcing best practices for secure deployments.
- Optimize container infrastructure for application performance and scalability, including resource management and performance testing in production and staging environments.
- Develop and maintain Ansible automations, including roles, playbooks, custom modules, vaults, dynamic inventories, and Jinja2 filters for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Deploy, patch, configure and expose cloud native applications to container orchestration platforms using CI/CD pipelines, to ensure consistent and automated delivery.
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for containerized environments to ensure system health, availability, and performance, using tools like Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, ELK stack or similar.
- Provide operational support for infrastructure and applications deployed within container orchestration environments, responding to incidents, service requests, and performance issues.
- Provide on-call support based on a rotating schedule (ROTA) for infrastructure and applications hosted in container orchestration platforms.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years of professional experience as DevOps/SRE engineer
- Strong familiarity with Docker and containerization, with experience in creating, managing, and deploying containerized applications.
- Experience with one programming language: Python or Golang.
- Experience working in Linux environments, with comfort in shell scripting, firewalld, iptables, cronjobs, handling signals for process control and monitoring.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault or any other secret management tool.
- Understand networking fundamentals, including Load Balancing, HTTP, SSL/TLS, X.509 certificates, routing and switching.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native application design, including principles such as scalability, resilience, containerization, service discovery, and API-driven communication.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills and desire to improve and do better.
BONUS SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with public and private cloud.
