What we're looking for:
The S ite Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Iodine is responsible for engineering velocity and increasing the performance and stability of our production systems. Our SRE philosophy is rooted in the belief that application of software engineering principles can provide a radically different way to expand and scale our operational capabilities whilst also increasing product engineering velocity. Put simply, SRE helps us enable speed at scale. SRE's are software engineers first, but ones who have a deep passion for systems and infrastructure. For every great software engineer who blames sys admins for "not getting it", this is your chance to prove how we can do better.
What you'll do:

• Manage and grow Iodine's data platforms
• Work with other SRE's and Iodine Platform Engineering on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Consult with Iodine product teams on database performance
• Engineer new solutions for Iodine's growing infrastructure

What we'd love to see:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of experience managing Linux systems
• 8 years of experience managing PostgreSQL databases
• 2 year of experience managing systems in a public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Experience:

• Configuration Management systems such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc
• Experience working with containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Experience working with Kafka
• Experience working in public/private hybrid cloud environments
• Experience testing/troubleshooting system performance
