Join BNY’s Corporate Treasury Liquidity Development Team and play a key role in advancing the firm’s liquidity analytics and stress testing capabilities. This role focuses on developing and applying quantitative insights to understand balance sheet behavior under stress, supporting critical decision-making across Treasury, Risk, and Finance.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders and engineering partners to design and implement liquidity modeling frameworks, with a strong emphasis on translating business logic and financial behavior into scalable analytical solutions.
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist to join our Treasury team. This role is located in New York.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
• Develop and implement liquidity analytics and modeling logic to support stress testing, forecasting, and balance sheet management
• Analyze deposit, funding, and asset behaviors under various stress scenarios, including runoff, attrition, and contingency assumptions
• Translate business requirements and regulatory expectations into clear modeling approaches and calculation logic
• Partner with engineering teams to implement models and data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and transparency
• Communicate insights and model outputs to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable narratives
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative, analytics, or risk-related roles within a financial institution
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) for data analysis and model prototyping
• Experience with SQL and working with large, complex datasets
• Strong analytical thinking with ability to work with ambiguous requirements and translate them into clear analytical approaches
• Strong communication skills, with ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and business audiences
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with liquidity stress testing, or regulatory liquidity frameworks
• Familiarity with cashflow modeling, behavioral assumptions, and scenario design
• Exposure to model validation, audit, or regulatory environments
• Experience working with or alongside engineering teams in building analytical platforms
• Experience building or working with AI/LLM-based applications (e.g., agent-based workflows, prompt engineering, or automation tools) is a strong plus
