Our Pre-Sales Team grows customer count and revenues in key verticals. These include enterprise and business services, retail, eCommerce, Financial Services and Media. We facilitate the adoption of our new and emerging technologies. Supporting the largest customers regionally, we are passionate about securing and accelerating customers digital assets.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in showing customers the value of our solutions and closing the sale.

As a Solutions Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Driving revenues by managing the pre-sales technical process and evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers.
• Understanding Customer's business requirements, translate them to technical problems, and map them to Akamai solutions.
• Ensuring that customers understand the proposed solution, integration methodology, integration timeframes, and risk associated with the solution.
• Overseeing customer proposals with sales, ensuring that technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are properly defined.
• Overseeing delivery of projects alongside service delivery teams, and is in line with customers original requirements.
• Driving new product &service offering, support & educate sales, marketing, other departments, contribute to global SE community.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have minimum 6 years of relevant experience in technical
  pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, and/or other customer facing role
  consulting on, delivering technical products or services
• Have have knowledge or understanding in Application, API, Web Security & Infrastructure security including firewalls
• Have minimum 6 years of experience in Internet technologies,
  standards and protocols, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design
• Have experience or understanding in Internet applications architecture and design, knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and threat landscape.
• Develop, implementing, and optimizing technical sales processes and methodologies. Good at problem solving.
• Demonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and stakeholder collaboration
