Senior Solutions Engineer - Cybersecurity & Identity (DACH)

As a Solutions Engineer at Futurae, you are the cornerstone of our customer's success and our product's evolution. You’ll work closely with customers throughout their customer journey — from discovery and technical evaluation to implementation and ongoing support. You’ll be the technical point of contact, helping customers navigate best practices in authentication and cloud security, and ensuring seamless adoption of the Futurae platform.

This role combines hands-on technical understanding with strong communication skills. You’ll deliver product demos, run proof-of-concepts, and translate complex needs into targeted solutions — whether you’re speaking with developers or C-level executives. Your ability to ask the right questions, understand the full customer context, and guide them to success will be key.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales, acting as the bridge between customer needs and our platform’s capabilities.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Establish yourself as a resident subject matter expert on Futurae’s products and ecosystem
• Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute territory and account strategies to maximize the Futurae opportunity in those accounts
• Conduct research and discovery to understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving technology problems using cloud technology
• Execute the delivery of POCs for customers with complex use cases, collaborating with other Futurae engineering teams as needed
• Craft technical content to show customers how to implement specific use cases or standard methodologies for new technologies
• Prepare and deliver demos to showcase how the Futurae platform meets customer’s business needs and use cases.  
• Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales

Qualifications 

• An ability to quickly and effectively communicate complex technical concepts via presentation, slides and whiteboard 
• A good understanding of Open Standards, in particular Identity & Access Management (IAM): SSO, MFA, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML.
• A strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and core security concerns within a typical application (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: web (JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks) development, mobile (iOS, Android) development, backend (Go, Python, Ruby) development, IP-based real-time communications
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, with preference on GCP.
• You are an elite communicator
• Can identify, map, and manage multiple personas: IT admins, CISOs, architects, procurement, and legal.
• Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience
• Typically 10-25% travel
