As a Senior Solution Architect, you will collaborate with a team of passionate and skilled engineers and consultants to provide expertise in designing and implementing solutions that meet client business needs while leveraging the latest technological offerings. You will work with technical and business decision-makers while aligning solutions to the latest Apex Digital and Microsoft offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute implementation and migration projects that leverage Apex Digital’s solutions and expertise in Microsoft Cloud Technologies
- Design comprehensive networks for clients with an emphasis on performance, security, scalability, and technology integration.
- Deploy and manage network and security hardware solutions including firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure robust protection and optimal performance.
- Conduct assessments and discovery sessions to create client project scope-of-works, estimates, and proposals.
- Evaluate client security posture and recommend/deploy new tools, policies, or settings to enhance overall security, reduce vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and sustain technical documentation for internal reference and external presentations, such as As-built documentation and solution architecture.
- Consult with clients to collaboratively develop solutions tailored to their specific needs and business goals, and to create technological road maps that align with their strategic objectives
- Efficiently manage time to ensure that projects and tasks are completed within the designated budget and duration.
- Coach Apex Digital team members on how to effectively present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Offer continuous mentoring, guidance, and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
- Engage with team members to effectively resolve complex, large-scale issues through cooperative efforts and the sharing of expertise.
- Maintain and update your knowledge, skills, and certifications relevant to the qualifications and competencies listed below.
Skills and Qualifications
- Microsoft 365/Office 365
- Windows Server deployment and administration.
- Server virtualization deployment and management – Hyper-V and VMWare.
- Network and security hardware solution deployment and management experience (firewalls, routers, switches).
- Backup and restore solution management.
- Identity management and SSO (Active Directory and Entra ID)
- Microsoft Teams – collaboration, calling, meetings.
- Microsoft Teams Meeting Rooms – room and A/V design/implementation.
- Microsoft Teams Voice
- Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (or other RMM or MDM experience)
- Microsoft Azure Infrastructure (Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, Gateway, etc.
- Intermediate/Advanced PowerShell experience
