Senior Software Verification Engineer, Embedded Software, Datacenters & Energy
We are looking for a Senior Software Verification Engineer, Embedded Software, to join our Software and Digital Platforms Group in Valencia, Spain, working on Datacenters & Energy products.
About the Role
As Senior Software Verification Engineer, Embedded Software, be one of a team responsible for verifying software developed for cutting-edge embedded systems that drive next-generation intelligent power management for datacenters, ensuring they meet the highest standards for security, reliability, and real time performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understand power control systems and topologies relevant to modern datacenter architectures to ensure accurate verification of related requirements.
- Identify opportunities for test automation in embedded software environments and implement robust tools and libraries as part of a test framework.
- Define test specifications based on requirements and develop automated test code to maintain stable regression suites with full traceability.
- Analyze results to identify defects, collaborate with developers during debugging, and ensure root cause analysis is documented.
- Check quality of software releases and verify/sign-off against acceptance criteria.
- Prepare test reports, summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations.
- Provide feedback to developers on identified issues and areas for improvement.
- Apply software industry best practices, including CI/CD workflows, version control, static analysis, and automated testing frameworks.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of software releases through rigorous verification processes, actively developing and maintaining CI/CD workflows for embedded systems.
Minimum Qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of industry experience in embedded systems or software testing.
- Minimum 3 years hands on experience in developing test code for software systems using Python and PyTest.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tool environments such as Jenkins/Github Actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of protocols used in embedded systems (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Working Knowledge of Signal Processing concepts such as Filters, Fast Fourier Transforms, Harmonic Distortion, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of power systems, DC/DC conversion.
- Knowledge about containerization with docker.
- ISTQ certification.
- Experience in software development with C/C++ and testing such as Ceedling, Unity, GoogleTests.
- Experience with code coverage such as Gcov.
- Experience with Agile workflows such as Scrum or Kanban.
