Boeing Global Services is seeking a Senior Software Quality Specialist (Quality Systems Specialist) to support our Digital Services business. The role is based out of Richmond, BC office. Join a dynamic, growing team dedicated to ensuring quality and compliance across a diverse portfolio of maintenance efficiency, schedule reliability, and aircraft performance & connectivity solutions. As part of a global quality organization, you will provide end-to-end quality management guidance to leaders, business units, and cross-functional teams. Your primary responsibilities will draw on deep knowledge of the software quality discipline to ensure requirements, project plans, test procedures, and results meet established software quality standards.
A successful candidate will have proven quality management experience in a services delivery or software business, ideally in the aviation industry, along with strong expertise in internal auditing and process conformance oversight.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and refinement of new work practices, techniques, and quality standards; recognized as a go-to expert within the Quality organization.
  • Plan and execute software and system level audits to determine configuration assurance and compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100), aviation regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and deliver tailored training, coaching, and guidance on audits, root cause analysis, CAPA, continuous improvement, and quality management principles.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, implement, and maintain meaningful quality metrics and dashboards that enable data-driven decisions and measure process health.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions for complex quality problems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Advise and collaborate with senior leadership to design and deploy process improvements that affect multiple teams and locations, driving measurable operational gains.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, setting objectives and selecting approaches while ensuring consistent, compliant outcomes across assignments.
  • Continuously expand your expertise in software quality and best practices to strengthen organizational capability.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience working with software development, DO-200 aeronautical data production tools, or within a software quality assurance role
  • 10+ years of experience applying process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (root cause analysis, CAPA)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical and compliance concepts to leadership and technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to perform audits and generate actionable findings and corrective action plans.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is highly desired
  • Experience working with RTCA DO-200/ED-76 and AC 20-153 is highly desired
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ CQA or equivalent

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Salary base pay range: CAD 117,000.00 - CAD 209,000.00
