About the Role
We are looking for a prolific Senior Developer (we have non-senior roles as well) to join our team and help pioneer a new type of healthcare platform. We have a small but rapidly growing team, and as the most senior engineer on the team, you would play a large role in technical leadership, architecture, and building a great engineering culture. As we scale, we expect there will be opportunities for the right person to grow into a large leadership role.
Ideally you have built and scaled web applications with a modern tech stack including NodeJS, VueJS, Express, and/or MySQL or similar technologies. You should have experience working on an application that has scaled to a large number of users and be able to deliver quicker than most people think is possible. Based on the pace of growth of our business, we expect to continue encountering new and exciting technical challenges.
We are a hybrid team with a mix of remote and NYC based people working very closely with customers on groundbreaking products.
Key Responsibilities
Role model in the organization where others desire input or follow their lead in technical matters
Come up with new ideas, see them implemented, encourage adoption and contributions
Promote quality, leads refactoring efforts and review all pull requests
Learn new technology, advocate for new approaches, and embrace all challenges
Tasks and projects done with no surprises, nothing is left dangling
Clearly take leadership when dealing with operational issues
Develop web applications and deploy them to AWS
Write technical documentation and peer review teammates’ code
Analyze, maintain and test applications and databases
Design scalable, performant and secure solutions
Discover, triage and fix programming bugs
Requirements
At least 5+ years in a full-stack developer focused role
Significant professional experience building high scale web applications with a modern tech stack
Extensive experience with SQL, relational databases, and design skills
Performance, caching and document storage with Redis/Eliasticache
CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
AWS cloud and infrastructure as code
Skills Required
- At least 5+ years in a full-stack developer focused role
- Significant professional experience building high scale web applications
