What You’ll Do (When You Join Us)

As a Software Engineer at LSEG, you will solve sophisticated challenges that demand a strong command of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and high-quality, resilient code.

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java, C++ and/or Python, leveraging modern frameworks, libraries, and engineering best practices.
• Proficient Programming: Demonstrated experience in at least one of Java / C++ / Python, with a strong grasp of object-oriented and/or functional programming, concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimisation.
• Frameworks and Libraries: Familiarity with relevant ecosystems (e.g., Spring / Spring Boot for Java, STL and Boost for C++, FastAPI/Django for Python) and the ability to select the right tools for the problem space.
• API & Service Development: Experience building and consuming RESTful services, event-driven systems, and microservices-based architectures in enterprise environments.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), including containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo) and DevOps practices.

Strong understanding of:

Experience working with:

• Modern frameworks and development tools across your chosen language stack
• Cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) and cloud-native architectures
• CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and engineering best practices
