Step into the role of Application Architect, reporting to the Head of Application Architecture. In this role, you will design, build, and evolve core platform services, including desktop interoperability, API management, and developer enablement tooling. You will also help integrate AI-driven tools and practices into the software development lifecycle to improve delivery efficiency and quality across engineering teams. Primary Responsibilities:
- Architect, deliver, and continuously enhance critical platform services and cloud-native solutions using secure, scalable, and best-in-class engineering practices.
- Define and implement enterprise standards for AI-assisted SDLC workflows, developer tooling integration, platform governance, and secure engineering automation.
- Design and implement governance-aware engineering workflows including validation gates, auditability, evidence tracking, policy enforcement, and secure experimentation frameworks for AI-assisted development.
- Participate in and contribute to architecture reviews, technology standards, and strategic corporate initiatives across the enterprise.
- Engage across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), partnering with cross-functional teams on solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD automation, platform engineering, observability, and AI-assisted developer workflows to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
- Evaluate, implement, and promote emerging AI and developer enablement technologies that improve software quality, engineering productivity, operational resiliency, and engineering velocity.
- Continuously improve platform security, performance, efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and engineering best practices
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in desktop application, platform services, and backend engineering, with expertise in object-oriented programming
- 4+ years relevant experience performing the role as a Technical Lead and/or Application Architect
- Strong experience in Application Architecture, Enterprise Integration, Microservices, and Cloud Native solutions
- One or more of the following desired technical skills:
- .NET (C#/VB.Net)
- AWS Serverless Services
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or BitBucket
- Identity and Access Management (SAML, OAUTH, OPENID)
- API Management tools such as WSO2 or MuleSoft
- RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server
- A commitment to excellence, with a knack for supporting essential systems
- A team player with outstanding communication skills, analytical acumen, and a detail-oriented mindset
- Bachelor’s degree
