We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Guidewire Claim Center expertise to design, develop, and maintain our enterprise claims management platform. You will work on complex claim workflows, integrations, and business logic while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, Product Owners, and Claims Operations. This role requires deep technical skills in Guidewire development and solid understanding of insurance claims processes (FNOL, reserving, payments, subrogation, litigation management).
ResponsibilitiesCore platform skills:
Deep hands on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter (configurations, workflows, rules, integrations).
Strong knowledge of Gosu (Guidewire’s scripting language), Java, SQL, and XML/Web Services (SOAP/REST).
Technical & architecture skills:
Experience with Guidewire Studio, Guidewire Cloud, CI/CD/DevOps, and large scale P&C insurance systems.
Ability to design solutions, debug complex issues, and integrate Guidewire with external systems (ERP, payment gateways, core insurance platforms).
Domain & process skills:
As we deal with Insurance Claims, we need someone with Solid understanding of P&C insurance lifecycle (quoting, policy admin, claims, billing) and insurance domain terms and regulations.
Leadership & soft skills: (This is especially for 5+ years of total experience candidates)
Experience leading or mentoring junior developers, driving best practices, and working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management to bridge business and technical teams.
- 5-8 years total software development experience
- 3+ years hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter development (versions 10.x or higher preferred)
- 2+ years insurance claims domain experience (property, casualty, workers' comp, or auto)
- Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in agile environments
