As Senior Software Engineer, you'll design, build, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, user-friendly solutions on our infrastructure. You'll collaborate with teams across Akamai to gather requirements, architect solutions, implement features, and perform unit testing. You'll also stay updated on emerging technologies and integrating them to enhance innovation and efficiency.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Creating new features, or enhance existing functionality, from design through testing and deployment
- Working in an agile sprint environment to deliver quality software on a regular and consistent basis
- Measuring, maintaining and optimizing distributed system performance and performing bug fixes of existing applications
- Working in diverse nature of programming languages as needed
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Have demonstrated experience in developing applications, including API based Apps in Golang
- Understand fundamentals of Python along with container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Gain experience with Clickhouse, Redis, MongoDB, Postgres, Grafana, as familiarity with these tools can enhance your skill set.
- Demonstrate expertise in IP/TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and related network protocols.
- Be passionate about solving large scale, secure distributed systems problems using Data Structures and complex Algorithms
