As an experienced Full Stack Engineer, you’ll join our lean but fast-growing team and contribute to developing key product features that will one day be used by millions of individuals and families. As an early team member, you’ll have amazing opportunities to help shape the culture of the engineering organization, drive best practices, and explore new ways of solving challenging problems at scale. You’ll work closely with product and design to understand the needs of our customers and represent their voice in how we architect our solutions.
- You have 5+ years in professional software engineering
- You have 3+ years building mobile apps, preferably with React Native.
- You are proficient with MongoDB or similar noSQL databases.
- You are experienced in ExpressJS for server-side logic.
- You are familiar with AWS (ECS, EC2, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS).
- You are skilled in building and securing REST APIs.
- You are able to integrate APIs into mobile applications.
- You have a passion for mentoring and uplifting the engineering team.
- Previous startup success as a founder or very early stage team member. You’ve been a part of a successful acquisition or scaled from a Series A to IPO.
- You’re a yes person - there is always a way to accomplish the task at hand. You believe everything is solvable.

What We Do
It's simple: Shop, pay bills, and transact at the companies & brands you use everyday, and our app will automatically purchase $1 worth of stock in those companies for you. Fun, human investing.
How it works: Each time you transact at a publicly-traded company (and any of their subsidiary companies/products), Grifin automatically withdraws $1 to invest into that company's stock on your behalf. Each week, your dollars are added up and withdrawn from your bank to buy your stock. For example:
• Buy coffee 3x at Starbucks this week? You invest $3 into Starbucks stock.
• Pay both your Verizon and Comcast bills this week? $2 is withdrawn to buy $1 of Verizon stock and $1 of Comcast stock.
• Go to Whole Foods 2x this week for groceries? You get $2 in Amazon stock, since Whole Foods is a subsidiary of Amazon.
• Make a payment on your American Express credit card bill? You get $1 worth of AMEX stock for paying your bill.
In this example, after just 1 week, you put $8 towards stocks and you now own stock in 5 of the companies you transact with!
Personalized investing on your terms: Set a weekly investment limit, pause for a week at a time, adjust your company risk tolerance, increase beyond $1 per transaction, disable any company you transact at but don't want to invest in, and many more customization features.
