Location Details: Gurgaon, India

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.​

This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. Join our Team  

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Developer Platform Ecosystem team. You'll build tools and platform architecture that empower both internal and external developers to create their offerings efficiently. You'll also enhance our platform through reseller and partner integrations, addressing key feature gaps. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be a core technical contributor—solving complex engineering problems, designing scalable solutions, and elevating our developer experience.

What you'll get to do...

• Design and build scalable software solutions for the developer platform ecosystem, including SDKs, developer tools, and frameworks that streamline integration and application development
• Develop robust automation and testing frameworks to ensure platform reliability, real-time regression testing, and modular test cases for shared environments
• Debug and resolve production issues in real time, creating systems that improve performance and reliability across decoupled systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, UX designers) to refine requirements, review code and architecture, and uphold engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation by researching emerging technologies, implementing scalable architecture patterns, and supporting internal open-source projects

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with a strong foundation in software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Expertise in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
• Deep understanding of API design and framework development, with a proven track record of building scalable SDKs, libraries, or developer-friendly APIs
• Strong debugging and optimisation skills, including performance testing and clean coding practices
• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code to support reliable deployments

You might also have...

• Knowledge of serverless architectures and service provider routing systems
• Working knowledge of Node.js
• Experience with partner integrations, reseller ecosystems, or B2BSaaS platforms
