As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a global FX engineering team who develops and maintains a global trading solution for FX NDF Matching platform that brings together the benefits of an NDF central limit order book and clearing to offer a unique solution for the global foreign exchange market fulfilling the demand for NDF market infrastructure in Asia and around the globe.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the entire trading lifecycle, from data feeds to order execution and pre-trade risk management functionalities in FX NDF Exchange and Credit systems
- Produce high-quality software, design, and functional documentation focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements
- Work with product owners, architects and others to implement world-class solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs
- Provide estimates for specific software feature implementation
- Identify, prioritize and implement tasks in the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Build unit and component tests for your code and follow test-driven development processes to achieve quality standards
- Perform non-functional testing where necessary to verify the system meets required performance SLAs and resiliency requirements
- Develop and maintain tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code that follows open sourcing standards
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Provide senior leadership to junior software developers by leading design, implementation and code reviews
- Actively participate in an Agile Scrum team, contributing to the grooming, planning, execution, and review of sprints
- Collaborate effectively with peers to ensure smooth delivery of software features
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies and standards
- Assist front-line support teams in resolving customer and production issues
Required education/expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering/IT/Computer Science from a recognized university
- Strong C++ expertise and experience of 2 years + experience in software development in C++
- 2+ years of work experience in a reputed engineering organization
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Hands-on UNIX/Linux System Administration skills, with hands-on experience managing complex environments
- Experience and knowledge in agile methodologies
- Experience in software engineering principles, CI/CD tools and automation processes
- Experience in financial market infrastructure space preferably in FX trading is a strong plus
- Knowledge and experience with credit related systems are added benefit
