About the Team

Omise Engineering teams have a strong focus on innovation and staying at the forefront of technological advancements. What you will be doing

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using Ruby or Go.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
• Assist in the design and implementation of software architecture and frameworks.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Contribute to technical documentation and user guides.
  

You

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years experience and proficiency in Ruby, Go and strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing).
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Good to have

• Experience with financial systems or payment processing.
• Knowledge of security best practices and encryption techniques.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of full-stack development, especially with ReactJS for front-end.
