Requires skills and experience to involve: Demonstrated experience analyzing issues related to interactions between autonomous vehicles and human road users and detecting patterns to generate mathematical or physical models for algorithm processing. Strong software engineering background producing high quality software for autonomous vehicles. Deep knowledge of linear algebra and optimization algorithms for prototyping motion planning algorithms. High-level of experience coding in C++; Demonstrated experience in software engineering to build pipelines that analyze current system capabilities for self-driving vehicles. Deep knowledge in probability and statistics to analyze the outcomes and consequences of software design.
Job duties: The Senior Software Engineer position will research, design, and develop computer software, including state-of-the-art behavioral reasoning, decision making, and motion planning algorithms for autonomous passenger vehicles. Develop computer software into real-time performance guaranteed on-board software via rigorous software engineering efforts. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Research state-of-the-art computer software algorithms and publications in robotics. Analyze user needs and design, develop, and modify software solutions applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to predict and measure the outcomes and design consequences.
