Overview: As a Sr. Software Engineer (Fullstack) at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Write clean, maintainable code that is extensible with minimum number of defects 

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into high-quality code.

  • Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL into the frontend efficiently.

  • Work on the backend (Node.js, Express, or similar) to develop APIs and handle business logic.

  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to maintain code quality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Quality Engineering) to complete tasks 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of software and security best practices (i.e., object-oriented design patterns, OWASP Top 10, SOLID design principles) 

  • Source for expert level knowledge of modern software development techniques and methodologies 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a senior role

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with various roles regarding development processes, technical possibilities, UI/UX convert to real time implementation, and development priorities

  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, primarily focusing on React.js, Angular Js or Vue Js.

  • Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES6+).

  • Experience with modern frontend development frameworks and libraries (Redux, TailwindCSS, Material-UI, Styled Components, etc.).

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches (SASS, SCSS, CSS-in-JS).

  • Experience in optimizing performance (lazy loading, memoization, code splitting, etc.).

  • A strong background in C# backend development, .NET Core, and at least 1-2 years of experience with unit test cases is required.

  • Has experience building out REST APIs or using GraphQL

  • Understanding of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, Firebase Auth, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures is a plus.

  • Familiar with Sonar or Code coverage will be added advantage.

  • Experience with the Node Js or Express good to have.

  • Hands-on experience with xUnit, NUnit, or NSubstitute is highly beneficial.

  • Knowledge of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks.

  • Knowledge about NoSQL good to have.

  • Entity-framework with core good to have.

  • Good knowledge of component-based architecture and design patterns.

  • Having hands-on experience with frontend unit testing frameworks like Karma or Vitest is an added advantage.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Azure DevOps

  • Experience in creating add-ins for Outlook and Microsoft Office

  • Familiarity with frontend monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry, and Datadog

  • Open AI knowledge will be added advantage.
