Job Description
GameStop is looking for a Senior Engineer to design, build, and maintain multiple software applications used for testing consumer gaming products. The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem-solver, highly collaborative, and passionate about delivering solutions from ideation to implementation.
This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX.
What you’ll do:
- Design, document, and implement application software to test consumer gaming products such as video game consoles, controllers, headsets, etc.
- Perform analyses of consumer gaming products to define customer-focused criteria and test parameters.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from initial feature definition through software release and production support.
- Modify and update legacy applications to support testing on newest generation gaming products.
- Work iteratively to improve quality and process with the operations teams
What you’ll need:
- 10+ years of experience software and hardware engineering
- Familiarity with embedded, real-time software design and implementation with the ability to clearly articulate architecture and design
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and varying levels of technical expertise.
What’s good to have:
- Deep understanding of the various hardware drivers and communications protocols
- Experience with a consumer electronics product development company.
- Experience working with SOC/Embedded systems to interact with external hardware devices
