Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer on the Roblox's Infrastructure Physical Networking - Network Reliability Systems team. You will help improve the reliability and efficiency of Roblox's global physical network infrastructure. Collaboration is essential with Networking and Infrastructure teams.
You Will:
- Drive Network Reliability initiatives with an emphasis on scalable automation and telemetry, and security, that empowers the Production Network to operate effectively.
- Build software and systems to manage and monitor the network (i.e. common languages are Python, Go and JavaScript).
- Develop automation systems and tooling to improve efficiencies in network operations.
- Work cross-functionally with various Roblox Infrastructure groups to maintain a highly available and highly performant infrastructure.
- Participate in periodic on-call rotation.
You Have:
- BA/BS degree in a relevant engineering field/equivalent experience, with a minimum of 4 years of comparable experience.
- Experience developing network related software, which could include network automation, monitoring systems, or network device configuration management.
- Experience working on large scale Network Infrastructure systems in a production environment.
- Proven understanding of L1-L4 Network layers, with background experience working with Physical Network Routers and Switches considered a plus.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$189,110—$233,840 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
