Senior Software Engineer

Overview
SCIS is seeking a Software Engineer IV/Scrum Master to lead a small team of developers and test engineers. The preferred candidate will be responsible to address assigned tickets and tasks, code fixes, code reviews. Build, deploy components to WebLogic. The candidate will also perform Scrum Master/Team Lead duties: Coordinate Team, conduct Team meetings including Weekly Status meeting, Monthly Internal Planning, and Monthly Planning/CCBs with Customer.
This position is a hybrid work arrangement requiring weekly work at Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida.
Software Engineer/System Engineer/Test Engineer:
Address assigned tickets and tasks. Code fixes, code reviews. Build, deploy components to WebLogic.
Maintain and update Acceptance Testing documentation. Build test cases data. Build automated tests. Update documentation: VDD, Installation Manual.
Maintain SCIS development environment: Maintain 8 Virtual Machines; Apply WebLogic and Oracle Database patches; Rebuild VMs and re-install applications as required.
Maintain Customer development environment: Build, deploy application components to WebLogic on GOV-CDE and JWICS-CDE.
Create and Test Deliveries: GOV-CDE and JWICS-CDE; Maintain and update the Delivery Procedures Documentation.
Team Lead/Scrum Master:
Coordinate Team, conduct Team meetings including Weekly Status meeting, Monthly Internal Planning, and Monthly Planning/CCBs with Customer.
Maintain GitLab boards and update Team with assigned tickets. Conduct backlog grooming on GitLab board. Record new tickets in GitLab based on customer input or application needs. Maintain a detailed log of the Team's accomplished tasks.
Create Monthly Status Reports and Supplemental Reports: Program Status Report, STIG Compliance Reports, Tickets Workbook, POAM, Monthly CCB Meeting Minutes, Weekly status report.
Submit CRDLs and deliveries to Customer on time.

  • AWS experience
  • Relational Database Management System experience (SQL, PLSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
    
    • Java with Spring
    • VueJS/GWT
    • GitLab: Ticketing boards; Software version control; CI/CD Pipeline

  • Scripting languages – primarily Python
  • WebLogic
  • VMWare – For Virtual Machines

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree with five years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Security clearance

• TS/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCI
