About the teamPost acquisition, the BBPOS team is now an extension of the Stripe Terminal team. Stripe Terminal helps Stripe users extend their online presence into the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. With Terminal, businesses can unlock in-person payments use cases that are right for their business model—whether it’s creating a flagship retail experience, extending their website to a pop-up store, or enabling a mobile point-of-sale at their next event.

Who you are

What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain robust, and high-performance APIs and services
- Ensure our infrastructure is extensible, scalable, reliable, and meets SLAs for both external and internal users
- Create, maintain, and execute application unit tests as part of Continuous Integration.
- Contribute to software development while also establishing and refining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to optimize workflow efficiency and security
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack with an eye towards improving maintainability over the long term.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Interact with global teams with excellent communication skills to provide support information
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Engineering/Science or related discipline.
- 5+ years back-end software development hands-on experience.
- Strong problem solver and able to take initiatives in solving problems
- Solid experiences with general programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Python and JavaScript
- Solid experiences with backend web development frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, Express.js
- Experience with storage systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and Redis
- Hands on experience in microservice, API, Kubernetes, AWS cloud
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS
- Experience in DevOps / IaC tool (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, ELK, Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of test automation (e.g. JUnit, JMeter, Postman)
- Knowledge of Security SDLC, which include the use of SAST, SCA, DAST tools is a plus
- Knowledge in cryptography, Security, HSM would be a huge advantage
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese
