About the Role

We are seeking a full-stack software engineer who is smart, curious, and loves the challenge of solving problems that improve our brands’ eCommerce experience. You’ll collaborate with a fun and close-knit agile team to architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our customers and partners. You are passionate about creating a fantastic user experience and you feel it is critical that your voice is heard in product and business decisions. You love to learn, and equally love to share your knowledge with others. You are a great communicator and you take care to understand before making yourself understood.

You will

• Be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the functional and aesthetic elements of an eCommerce website
• Work on theme customization, feature development and enhancement, as well as the development and integration of applications to extend the store’s capabilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to devise and develop solutions that align with business goals
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve features and debug integrations
• Guide overseas team of engineers and developers
• Develop high-quality software design and architecture
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Review and debug code
• Test and debug the website to ensure optimal performance
• Perform validation and verification testing
• Document development processes, and monitor systems
• Maintain and update our in-house software solutions
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies

You have

• 4+ years of Software Engineering & Web Development experience
• 4+ years of experience with Shopify & Shopify’s Liquid templating language
• 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• 4+ years of experience with Javascript frameworks (React, Remix, Vue, Next)
• Experience with server-side MVC frameworks.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST and API Design principles
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience with DevOps pipelines a plus: Docker, Heroku, AWS codebuild, CI/CD etc.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
• Experience with leading small to medium sized teams
