Are you a software engineer who enjoys tackling hard problems? Promaxo, a diverse, passionate, and growing team, is seeking a motivated professional to fill our newly created Senior Software Engineer position. You will significantly contribute to building next generation point-of-care MRI systems with sophisticated mechanical, electrical, robotic and software components.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Design and build new software features for an innovative robotic medical imaging platform
- Develop multi-threaded programs and test tools in Python or C++
- Data structure design and implementations
- Documentation, program readability, code flow diagrams, sequence diagrams
- Collaborate with software, imaging, product, data science, and clinical teams to gather needs and implement features for image-guided navigational tools for our robotic systems
- Understand, explore and integrate open-source APIs for development
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years professional experience programming in python, C, C++, and related languages in a Linux-based environment
- Experience with software development tools (gdb, gcc, git, IDE etc.)
- Hands-on experience with low-level code development for embedded systems/instrumentation control with multithreading.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data structures and algorithms
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Outstanding collaboration and communication skills
- Able to work independently on coding solutions, but comfortable seeking help or input from the team when necessary
