The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as an early engineering hire who works side by side with customers to learn how they operate and then builds software to improve it. The balance leans heavily toward hands-on development, with the remainder spent in direct customer conversations. You will partner closely with senior leadership to turn real-world needs into working product.
What you'll do
- Spend time with customers to observe how they work, then build features that address their pain points.
- Own the full loop from spotting a customer problem to designing, implementing and releasing the solution.
- Investigate and resolve production issues reported by customers, turning fixes around quickly.
- Visit customer sites when helpful to deepen understanding and improve rollout quality.
- Build and iterate on full-stack product features with a backend focus, from early pilots through expansion.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, including delivering production features from start to finish.
- Full-stack engineering skills with a strong backend orientation, including Python.
- A background in client-facing engineering or technical implementation work.
- Comfort using modern AI coding assistants in daily development.
- Experience at a fast-paced startup or a leading technology company.
- A computer science or other technical degree.
- Clear communication and the ability to translate customer needs into technical decisions.
- Willingness to work on-site five days a week and to travel to customer sites occasionally.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 160,000 to 180,000 per year
